European Union Program Erasmus +

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The European Union's Erasmus+ programme is a funding scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport.
The Programme is made up of three so-called "Key Actions" and two additional actions. They are managed partly at the national level by National Agencies/Erasmus+ National Offices and partly at the European level by the EACEA. The European Commission is responsible for Erasmus+ policies and oversees the overall programme implementation. For all universities in Albania and the Western Balkans, this program has been offered since 2014 and UMB is continuously active in the program. UMB, in the framework of its internationalization strategy, settles exchange / mobility agreements for students and staff. These agreements enable the exchange of students who do not pay tuition fees at the host university, receive EU scholarships according to funds approved by the European Commission, and gain recognition of the mobility period. The objective of the agreement is to provide students with international experience, intercultural education and exchange of best practices. Students are periodically notified of applications, via email, on the Web site and during lectures. "Marin Barleti University" within Erasmus + student mobility exchanges students with: UniversitadegliStudi di Genoa, Italy; University of Vico, Catalunia, Spain; Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy

Staff mobility is made possible by Erasmus+ programme, but also by other international programs such as H2020, Tempus, Creative Europe, etc. which provide a unique experience for academic staff. UMB encourages and promotes the best lecturers through mobility projects.
Currently "Marin Barleti University" within Erasmus + staff mobility exchanges lecturers with: Rome Three University, Italy
University of Vico, Catalunia, Spain
Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy
